Podi uthappam
2 cups of home made idli/dosa batter
Half cut onion
Gingelly oil
Ghee
Heat a dosa pan. Pour a teaspoon of gingelly oil. Rub the dosa pan with a half onion. When it is medium hot, spread the dosa batter evenly to get a slight thick dosa.
Sprinkle oil around the dosa. Wait until the top side gets cooked. Flip on the another side. Cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes. Add ghee around the dosa. Let it cook till it turns to golden brown. Remove with a spatula and place the dosa on a plate.
In a bowl, mix two tablespoon of idli podi with 2 tbsp of gingelly oil and 2 tsp of ghee. Mix well. Spread this podi on top of the entire dosa. Podi uthappam is ready to eat
