Masala sevai
- Cooked sevai - 2 to 3 cups
- Gingelly oil - 2 tbsp
- Cinnamon / Pattai - 1 small piece
- Bay leaf - 1
- Star anise - 1
- Cardamom - 2
- Cloves - 2
- Onion - 1 large chopped finely
- Ginger - 1 tsp grated
- Green Chillie- 2 slits
- Tomatoe - 1 chopped finely
- Curry leaves - 1 sprig
- Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Cook sevai. Heat oil in a kadai.
- Add cinnamon, bayleaf, star anise, cardamom, cloves and fry for 30 seconds. Add chopped onions, tomatoe, chillies, ginger and saute for a min. Now add few curry leaves, salt, chillie powder and mix well. Add 1/4 cup of water and cook on a low flame for 10 minutes. Now add coked sevai and cook for 5 more minutes. Masala sevai is ready. Serve hot with mor kuzhambu.
