Mango rasam
Small Lemon Size Tamarind
- 2 mangoes(riped) small - chopped into cubes
- 1 tbsp rasam powder
- a Pinch Asafoetida
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 3 cups Water
- 2 tsp Ghee
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- Few Curry Leaves
Soak tamarind in warm water and extract the juice. Take tamarind juice in a sauce pan. Add rasam powder, salt, hing, green chili, chopped mangoes to the tamarind juice.
- Add water to adjust the consistency. Keep the rasam on the flame till a frothy layer forms on top of the rasam. Switch off the flame. Do not bring the rasam to boil.
