Cashew pakodas

 

Cashewnuts - few

Besan flour - 1 cup

Rice flour - 1/2 cup

Chillie powder - 2 tsp

Turmeric powder - 1 tsp

Salt - 1 tsp

asfoetida - a pinch

Water - 1/2 cup (if needed can sprinkle while mixing the flour)

Oil to fry 


Soak the cashews in warm water for 20 minutes. Drain the water. In a bowl, mix besan flour, rice flour, chillie powder, turmeric powder, asfoetida And salt with water. The consistency of the flour should be neither thick or watery. It should be like idli batter. Add the cashews to the flour. Mix well. Heat oil in a pan. Drop one by one slowly into the oil. Fry it till golden brown. Fry some curry leaves and garnish. Crispy Cashew pakodas are ready to eat.
