Bread masala

Cut 6 to 8 white bread slices into small squares. Heat 2 tablespoon cooking oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add 1 bay leaf, 1 cinnamon stick, 2 cardamoms, 2 cloves, 1 star anise and 2 chopped garlics and few curry leaves and let them crackle.

Add 1/2 cup chopped onions, 2 teaspoon chopped green chilies, 1/4 cup frozen peas, 1/2  cup chopped tomatoes, 1 teaspoon grated ginger and saute well. Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/2  teaspoon chillie powder and 1 teaspoon salt and cook for a minute. Add cubed breads and 1 tsp of lime juice and toss well. Add 1 tsp of ghee and mix well. Cook for 5 to 10 minutes till them blend well. Switch off the stove and serve hot.
