Sweet wheat appam

 Sweet nei appam. 


Ingredients


Jaggery - 1 cup

Water - 1.5 cups

Wheat flour - 1.5 cups

Rice flour - 2 teaspoons

Cardamom powder - a pinch

Coconut - 10 small pieces

Ghee 


Dissolve the jaggery in water. Strain the jaggery water to remove dirts. In a pan mix the wheat flour, rice flour and cardamom powder by adding jaggery water. Now add the coconut pieces. mix the contents well without lumps. Now the appam batter is ready.


Take the appam kuzhi kadai. Fill the section of the kadai with little ghee. Add the appam batter in each section. Cook for 10 minutes. Poke the appam slightly with fork to see whether its cooked. The appam turns golden brown colour. Mouth watering hot  nei appam is ready to serve with ghee.
