 Keerai kootu without coconut

Spinach - 1 bunch
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urid dal - 1 tsp
Tomatoes - 2 small cubed
Onion - 2 small chopped
Wash and cut the green spinach. In a thick kadai, add gingelly oil. Add mustard seeds, once it splutters, add a teaspoon of urid dhal and when it turns brown add the spinach along with tomatoes(2, cut into cubes) and onions(small, cut into cubes). Once the spinach turns soft along with onions and tomatoes switch off the stove. keerai kootu is ready to serve.
