Gobi 65
2 cups cauliflower florets
Chillie powder - 2 tsp
Asfoetida - 1 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Besan flour - 1 cup
Rice flour - 1/2 cup
Corn flour - 1 tablespoon
Cut one medium sized cauliflower into florets. Wash the florets. Add hot water with turmeric powder to the cauliflower florets. Drain the hot water after 20 minutes.
To the hot florets, add chillie powder, asfoetida, salt, besan flour, rice flour and corn flour with 1 cup of water. Mix well. It should be neither thick nor watery consistency. Mix well. The batter should coat the cauliflower pieces well. Let the mixture marinate for 20 minutes.
Now heat vegetable oil in a pan. When it is hot, fry the cauliflower mixture in batches. Don't over crowd them. When it is golden brown, remove from hot oil and place them in an oil strainer. Crispy golden gobi 65 is ready to serve with tomato sauce.
