Beetroot halwa
Ingredients
Beetroot - 2 cups (grated)
Sugar - 2 cups or 1.5 cups according to your taste
Milk - 1.5 cups (reduce to half)
Almonds & cashews - some (chopped)
Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
Wash beetroots under running water. Bring milk to boil and reduce to half in a low sim. Grate the beetroots. Heat a pan with ghee, add nuts. To the same pan, add grated beetroots and fry until it turns aromatic for about 2 to 5 minutes. Pour the thickened milk, sugar and cook till the milk is absorbed completely. ...Add sugar and cardamom powder. Cook till the moisture evaporates. Garnish with chopped nuts.
