Aval or poha kesari


Ingredients

1 cup aval

1 cup sugar

1 1/2 cups water

Ghee

Cardamom (4), pistachio (8) and raisins (6)

Kesar powder a pinch


1. Roast the aval or poha in ghee till you get a nice aroma. 

2. Grind the aval or poha to a fine powder in a mixie

3. Transfer the powder to the kadai and add sugar.

4. Add water to the mixture and stir well

5. Add some ghee and stir continously

6. Mix kesari powder with water. Add this to the mixture.

7. Cook till ghee separates from the mixture

8. Roast pistachios and raisins in ghee

9. Add the pistachios and raisins and cardamom to the aval or poha kesari.

10. Delicious Aval or poha kesari is ready.
